Video: When You Think About It There Are Too Many Disc Choices

Latitude 64 Beginner Choosing A Disc

Someone’s probably already done this, but just watching a person new to disc golf break down the sheer amount of disc choices from one company is overwhelming.

This Latitude 64 video illustrates how daunting it can be to pick a disc for a beginner, and why those who are established in the sport continue to search for that certain Frisbee that’s going to fly a special way. While I don’t fully agree with the math — color and graphics aren’t important even if we may have preferences — just multiplying the options by mold, plastic, and weight, all characteristics that impact flight, you get hundreds of discs.

And that’s for each disc manufacturer.

We made it a point to say you’re already buying too many discs, but now we’re starting to think we’re making too many discs too.
